Overview

## Fly Tipping Removal \- what it is, who it's for.

### What it is

Fly tipping removal is the rapid, licensed clearance of waste that has been dumped illegally on private land, commercial premises, alleyways, lay-bys, car parks and access roads. We segregate the load at source, route each waste stream to the correct licensed facility, and issue Waste Transfer Notes and photographic evidence the same day so owners, agents and councils have everything they need.

### Who it's for

Landlords and letting agents finding bagged waste, mattresses or fly tipped builders' rubble on rental properties. Commercial site owners with dumped loads blocking gates, bins or access. Estate, parish and parochial bodies dealing with repeat-offender lay-bys. Housing associations handling alleyway dumping. Land owners across the Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire who need the mess gone fast - properly.

### When to call

Call as soon as the waste is spotted. Quick removal limits secondary dumping (a single tipped pile attracts more within days), prevents pest and odour escalation, removes the trip and fire hazard, and gets car parks, alleyways and access points back into use. Evidence is also strongest when the load is photographed and documented before anyone disturbs it.

### Why professional matters

Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the land owner is responsible for waste dumped on their property - even when they didn't dump it. Using an unlicensed 'man with a van' to remove it can compound the problem if that waste is then fly tipped again. Our EA-registered carrier licence, transfer notes and photo trail protect the owner if the matter ever reaches the council or a Section 59 notice.

What Happens If It's Left

## The cost of delay is rarely the cost you see.

Fly tipping rarely stays a one-off. The longer a dumped load is left, the harder and more expensive the situation becomes.

- ### Secondary dumping

A single tipped pile signals 'this is a dumping site' to others. Most repeat fly tipping locations were ignored single incidents within the first 72 hours.

- ### Pest, rodent and odour escalation

Bagged household and food waste attracts rats, flies and gulls within days. Pest damage to surrounding property and bin stores follows quickly.

- ### Fire and hazardous materials

Mattresses, sofas, paint tins, gas canisters, fridges and asbestos sheeting all turn up in dumped loads. Each carries a fire, environmental or health risk that grows the longer the load sits.

- ### Section 59 notices

Where the council determines waste has been knowingly permitted to remain, land owners can be served notice requiring removal at their own cost - sometimes with prosecution attached. Documented professional clearance protects you.

- ### Insurance and tenancy implications

Letting agents and commercial landlords often find dumped waste delays inspections, viewings or insurance renewals. A documented same-day clearance keeps the property's paperwork clean.

- ### Lost productive use of the land

Blocked car parks, alleyways, loading bays and access roads cost the owner every hour they are out of action. Same-day removal restores normal use.

Our Process

## A defined sequence. Documented at every step.

1. STEP 01

    ### Initial Call & Photo Brief

Speak to Shaun directly. Send a photo of the load and the location - we confirm scope, access, vehicle requirement and likely waste streams within minutes.

2. STEP 02

    ### Same-Day Site Attendance

Crew attends in a licensed Transit tipper or grab vehicle depending on volume. Initial photographs are taken before anything is disturbed - protecting the evidence chain.

3. STEP 03

    ### Hazard Check & Segregation

Load is checked for hazardous items - asbestos sheets, gas canisters, sharps, fridges, paint. Each is isolated and routed to the correct licensed disposal stream rather than mixed into general waste.

4. STEP 04

    ### Licensed Removal

Waste is lifted, loaded and removed under our Environment Agency waste-carrier licence. We sweep the area down so the site is left visibly cleared, not just emptied.

5. STEP 05

    ### Evidence Pack & Paperwork

Before, during and after photographs, Waste Transfer Notes for each stream and a written job summary - issued the same day for the property file, the council or any onward claim.

6. STEP 06

    ### Repeat-Offender Advice

Where the location has been hit before, we flag practical deterrents - locked bin stores, CCTV positioning, bollards, signage - so the same load doesn't come back next week.

Why It's Worth Doing Properly

## Specific outcomes. Not vague promises.

Every benefit below is something you can measure, document or hand to an insurer - not a slogan.

### Same-day clearance

Most fly tipping jobs across the Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire are attended and cleared within hours of the call - protecting the site from secondary dumping.

### Licensed and documented

EA-registered waste carrier, transfer notes for every stream and a photo evidence pack - the paperwork councils, insurers and landlords actually ask for.

### Safe handling of hazardous loads

Asbestos sheets, gas canisters, sharps and white goods are isolated and routed correctly rather than tipped into general waste - protecting the owner from downstream liability.

### Protects you from Section 59

A documented professional removal demonstrates the land owner acted promptly and lawfully - the exact opposite of 'knowingly permitting' waste to remain.

### Repeat-offender prevention advice

We don't just remove the load - we flag how the location is being targeted and what practical deterrents stop it returning.

### One contractor, one invoice

Removal, segregation, licensed disposal, paperwork and evidence pack all come from one local team - not three subcontractors.

In Detail

## Methods, materials and the situations we handle.

Fly tipping looks the same from a distance but the right response varies wildly with the load. These are the scenarios we see most often across the region.

### Bagged household waste in alleyways

Common in terraced streets across Liverpool, Birkenhead and Wallasey. We clear the load, photograph the source, and where bin tags or addressed mail are present we record them for the housing officer or council enforcement team.

### Builders' rubble and refurb waste

Plasterboard, brick rubble, tiles, timber and bagged builders' waste dumped on rental properties or commercial yards. We segregate plasterboard (gypsum waste is non-hazardous but regulated separately) and route the load to the correct transfer station.

### Mattresses, sofas and bulky items

Often tipped beside bin stores or in lay-bys. We lift bulky items, log them as separate waste streams and remove them under our licence - avoiding the cost of council bulky waste collections.

### Suspected asbestos

Loose cement sheeting, broken AIB and pipe lagging show up regularly in fly tipped loads. We do not lift suspect asbestos as general waste - it is isolated, photographed and routed via a licensed hazardous waste contractor with the correct consignment note.

### Commercial and trade waste

Tyres, oil drums, restaurant waste and trade packaging dumped at gates or on yards. We clear under our commercial waste-carrier licence and provide the trade-waste transfer paperwork separately.

### Repeat-offender lay-bys and access roads

Estate roads, lay-bys and quiet industrial access points that get hit again and again. Alongside the clearance we provide a short written deterrent plan - usually a mix of bollards, CCTV positioning, lighting and signage.

FAQ

## Questions, answered straight.

Can't see your answer? Call us - no obligation.

[07413 012463](tel:+447413012463)

How quickly can you attend a fly tipping incident?

Most jobs across the Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire are attended the same day. For active commercial sites and lettings we usually have a crew on site within a few hours of the call.

What does it cost to remove fly tipped waste?

Pricing depends on the volume, the waste streams present and whether hazardous items are involved. Typical single-load Transit tipper clearances start from around £180 plus VAT; larger or hazardous loads are quoted from photographs before we attend.

Am I responsible if someone fly tips on my land?

Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 the land owner is responsible for waste on their property. The right response is to remove it promptly using a licensed waste carrier and keep the paperwork - which is exactly what we provide.

Do you handle suspected asbestos?

Yes - safely. We do not lift suspect asbestos as general waste. It is isolated on site, photographed, and removed via a licensed hazardous waste contractor with the correct consignment note.

Will I get paperwork I can show the council?

Yes. Every job comes with Waste Transfer Notes for each stream, before/during/after photographs and a written job summary - the evidence pack councils, insurers and landlords actually want to see.

Can you help stop it happening again?

Yes. Alongside the clearance we flag how the location is being targeted - access, sight lines, lighting, CCTV positioning and physical deterrents - so the same dumping pattern doesn't simply return next week.

Do you work with letting agents and commercial sites on account?

Yes. Letting agents, housing associations and commercial sites on rolling contracts get consolidated monthly invoicing and credit terms - one contact, one paperwork standard.

Do you cover the wider area as well as Wirral?

Yes - full Wirral peninsula, Liverpool, Cheshire, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead, Wallasey, Warrington and Runcorn from our Heswall base.
